What we Believe
A few words from the Bishop.
Since the early days of the Church, Christians have expressed their faith in short statements called
creeds. The word “creed” literally means I believe. The Creeds state that God is the Father and
Creator. That Christ was born of a Virgin, died for our sins, resurrected and ascended into
Heaven. We believe in forgiveness of sins and eternity with Christ.
You can follow this link to the first Creeds of the Christian Church.
As sincere Anglicans, we believe the Articles of Faith provide a post Reformation guide for our
lives and ministry. We use the KJV and NKJV for teaching and preaching. The 1928 Book of
Common Prayer for services.
We continue the Apostolic tradition of leadership: the Bishop as senior minister of the church,
Priests as assistant ministers, and Deacons as the servants of the church. We are a local and
community ministry, independent of the national drama and politics of our day.
At Grace Anglican, we hold the Traditional faith of the Scriptures. We invite you to visit soon.
Blessings, Bishop Black +
